Sunburst Fried Chicken, Inc. is a SEC registered, 100% Filipino-owned corporation and the owner of the Intellectual Property Office registered trademark name “Sunburst Fried Chicken”. It has been in the fried chicken-specialty restaurant business since 1971, when it was started by the late Fernando J. Congmon, Sr., his spouse Victoria Q. Congmon and their children, as a small restaurant with four tables in Iligan City. By adhering to the proven business philosophy of consistently maintaining high standards of quality for its distinctively tasty products and services, Sunburst was able to attain growth and establish its own market niche for specialty restaurants in the Visayas and Mindanao (VisMin) regions from the 70’s up to the present.
